12–4 pm Bed-In Interviews at the Dutch Pavilion
7 pm ARQ and FAKTUR: Documents and Architecture at the Emily Harvey Foundation

Documents & Architecture is an open roundtable focusing on editorial projects in critical and prospective terms, allowing guest critics to interrogate magazine editors about their respective practices. The discussion will outline the ‘do’s and don’ts’ of architecture publishing, seek recommendations for future editorial work, and define expectations for architecture magazines in contemporary culture.

Bed-In Interviews is a series of intimate, provocative conversations with renowned guests conducted in a reproduction of Room 902 of the Amsterdam Hilton Hotel. Once the site of John Lennon and Yoko Ono’s Bed-In for Peace in 1969, the bed will host a four-hour non-stop interview marathon facilitated by Beatriz Colomina leading up to the opening of the Dutch Pavilion’s exhibition, WORK, BODY, LEISURE.

Storefront’s Director, Eva Franch, will be interviewed as part of Bed-In Interviews at 3 pm.

2:30 pm The School of Athens: On Pedagogical Models at the Greek Pavilion

As part of the Greek Pavilion’s The School of Athens exhibition, a symposium will take place that explores the utopian vision of a free, open, informal, and common space for learning. Speakers, including Storefront’s Director, Eva Franch, will discuss the architecture of communal spaces, exploring the history, present, and possible future of the academic commons.
