The Berlin–New York exhibition was a collaboration between five pairs of Berlin and New York artists. Each pair of artists worked within a separate discipline, creating new collaborative work for the show. The exhibition was one of many scheduled that year to celebrate the 750th anniversary of the founding of Berlin.
