VIP Preview: September 4, 2025
Public Days: September 5–7, 2025

We are pleased to share our participation in The Armory Show with a booth by Ming Fay.

As an Armory Spotlight—an initiative supporting the visibility, sustainability, and growth of selected art nonprofits—proceeds from this booth will fund our yearlong programs and operations.

Fay used drawing, sculpture, and public installations to comment upon the symbiotic relationship between humans and nature. His multidisciplinary practice reflects an enduring commitment to art in public space, echoing Storefront’s belief that the built environment is not just a backdrop, but a constellation of social, political, and economic forces that shape how we live and gather.

About the artist

Ming Fay was a sculptor based in New York City, celebrated for his life-like sculptural renditions of plants, fruits, trees, and other organic forms. Fay’s work has been exhibited internationally and has been commissioned by numerous cities to create large-scale public sculptures. Born in Shanghai in 1943, Ming Fay grew up in Hong Kong, moving to the United States in 1961 to attend the Columbus College of Art and Design. He received a BFA from the Kansas City Art Institute and an MFA from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
